Class Regulations
General Class Regulations
Participant must be a licensed professional in the beauty industry or registered as a student at a professional institute or work as a qualified equivalent. Exceptions are made for participants residing and providing services in a location that does not require licensing. Proof of this may be requested prior to enrollment.
All class training fees and kits are non-refundable and failure to attend or complete training will forfeit the training fees paid by the participant. In extenuating circumstances, participants can contact AP Corporate about options available to them.
The minimum product purchase per participant in a certification class is a Salon Starter Kit or Deluxe Salon Starter Kit for new accounts. Each additional participant from the same salon, an active AP salon/spa, or if enrolled in a beauty school must purchase a Practice Kit.
In-Salon Classes
In-salon training classes are hosted by the salon and AP Corporate will send an educator to their location. The salon will be responsible for paying the hotel fees of the contracted educator, and AP Corporate will pay for the transportation costs. To request an in-salon training class, there must be a minimum of 4 guaranteed participants, up to 6 can be included in the class.
For master classes, there is also a 4-hour minimum for the per hour per person class fee.
The class fees and required kits for all participants must be paid in advance and are non-refundable and must be finalized at minimum 45 days prior to the agreed upon class dates. Once class fees have been paid, AP Corporate will work with the salon and the contracted educator to finalize all details. AP Corporate will be the salon’s main contact during this process.
Training supplies will be supplied by AP Corporate and shipped out to the salon ahead of the class date. Kits are designed for set up in salon and practice purposes.
The salon must have the space and the correct number of esthetics tables required to successfully conduct the class. Participants are paired up to work on each other, if the full amount of 6 are in attendance, then there must be 3 esthetic tables.
If participants do not wish to work on each other in any class type, the salon must provide the necessary models to complete all areas required.
Class Fees
New Accounts:
- $450 per person
- Salon must purchase one Salon Starter Kit
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
Current AP Accounts:
- $225 per person
- Salon must purchase a practice kit or class essentials kit for each person enrolled in the class
Master Class Fees
- $75 per hour per person (minimum of 4 hours)
Educator-Hosted Classes
Educator-hosted classes are when salons send their practitioners to an educator’s location for certification or master classes. The class fees and required kits for all participants must be paid in advance and are non- refundable and must be finalized at minimum two weeks prior to the class dates.
Training supplies will be available for use in the class.
If participants do not wish to work on each other in any class type, the salon must provide the necessary models to complete all areas required.
Class Fees
New US Accounts:
- $450 per person
- Salon must purchase one Salon Starter Kit
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
- If one person is registering for the course, they pay the $450 training fee and Salon Starter Kit (no need for a practice kit)
New Canadian Accounts:
- Class fees will vary between educators. Class fees are displayed in each educator's class listing.
- $600 for the first person or $450 per person
- $300 for each additional person from the same salon or $225 per additional person.
- Salon must purchase one Salon Starter Kit
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
- If one person is registering for the course, they pay the $600 or $450 training fee and Salon Starter Kit (no need for a practice kit)
Current AP Accounts:
- $300 per person or $225 per person
- Salon must purchase a practice kit or class essentials kit for each person enrolled in the clas
Master Class Fees
- $75 per hour per person (minimum of 2 hours)
AP Corporate Classes
AP Corporate classes are when salons send their practitioners to the Alexandria Professional corporate training center located in Williamsville, NY for certification or master classes. The class fees and required kits for all participants must be paid in advance and are non-refundable and must be finalized at minimum one week prior to the class dates.
Training supplies will be available for use in the class.
If participants do not wish to work on each other in any class type, the salon must provide the necessary models to complete all areas required.
Certification Class Fees
New Accounts:
- $450 per person
- Salon must purchase one Salon Starter Kit
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
- If one person is registering for the course, they pay the $450 training and Salon Starter Kit (no need for a practice kit)
Option for FREE Certification Training New Accounts
- FREE with the purchase of one Deluxe Salon Starter Kit
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
- Within 1 year of opening AP account, additional employees sent for training can also waive the training fee and only require a practice kit. After 1 year has passed, refer to current AP Account fee policy.
Current AP Accounts:
- $225 per person
- Salon must purchase a practice kit for each person enrolled in the class
Students Enrolled in Beauty School:
- $100 per person
- Each person needs to purchase a practice kit
Master Class Fees
- FREE for 1 year following practitioners certification date (can be done at the corporate training center or online with corporate educator)
- FREE ongoing Sugar Better classes for life (can be done at the corporate training center or online with a corporate educator)
AP Online Academy
Participants move at their own pace with each available class having a 6-month enrollment period for the class to be completed within.
Each class has a set amount of virtual support hours with the participant’s chosen educator. Virtual support hours are outlined on each class outline page. Unused virtual support hours can still be used after class completion if there is enrollment time left.
Participants must complete all required quizzes and video assessments outlined in a class.
If for any reason the participant cannot complete a class within the enrollment period, they should contact AP Corporate to discuss the circumstances and possible extension. Requests will be reviewed, and extensions granted, on a case-by-case basis.
Class Fees
- $990 per person (includes Salon Starter Kit)

Master Class Fees
- $175 per person enrolled in any sugaring master class
- $150 per person enrolled in any skin health class (includes workshop kit)
Private One-on-One Classes (US or Select Canadian Educators)
- $800 training fee
- Must purchase one Salon Starter Kit
- The person being trained is responsible for obtaining a sufficient number of models for the class
